Tour of the newly built Engineering and Computer Science Complex and Presentation of OpenAV
Tour of the Dartmouth very recently completed two significant new buildings in our new technology and innovation district. The IT team responsible for AV in those buildings had major concerns for doing IT the traditional way for their large number of systems. We invented and developed OpenAV, a novel AV control system that uses standard IT technology (web servers running in dockers on Raspberry Pi and Android tablet with code and JSON room configurations managed in Gitlab) instead of traditional proprietary AV control approaches. This session will include:
· tour of the larger of the new buildings (Dartmouth’s biggest construction project ever),
· OpenAV demo, and
· technical talk about OpenAV architecture and implementation.
