Accessing Stata at Dartmouth
Stata is a statistical package for managing, analyzing, and graphing data. There are two ways to access it: on the computers in campus labs and classrooms, or through the Open OnDemand (OOD) web portal.
At the end of the Fall 2026 term, Stata RCD will no longer support installation on personal computers. If you installed Stata on your own machine through KeyAccess, that installation will stop working once the KeyServer is retired in December 2026. Use one of the two methods below instead.

Stata is installed and ready to use on the computers in the locations listed below.

Stata on Open OnDemand
Open OnDemand is a web portal for Dartmouth’s research computing systems. It runs Stata on the cluster and streams the interface to your browser, so you can use it from any computer; personal or Dartmouth-owned, on or off campus, without installing anything.
