  How We Work With You  

We offer multiple modes of engagement to meet the evolving needs of researchers at Dartmouth:

•   Consulting: Short-term or long-term, from study design to manuscript-ready analyses
•   Workshops: Public and custom training on data science tools, research software, reproducibility, and more
•   Collaborative Engagements: Embedded support for complex or long-term research projects
•   Grant Support: Budget and technical input for data management, computation, and personnel in grant proposals

  Services Pricing  

We are committed to providing a baseline level of free service to all researchers at Dartmouth. For enhanced support or infrastructure, pricing details are outlined below.

Storage  

DartFS - Network Attached Storage  

• 50GB HOME storage per researcher: Free
• 1TB LAB storage per PI: Free
• Additional storage:
  • Snapshotted: $95/TB/year
  • Non-snapshotted: $75/TB/year

• One free PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, or SQL Server DB per PI
• Additional or containerized databases:
  • $95/TB/year (same as DartFS snapshotted)

Consulting & Custom Development  

• Baseline support: Free (see our Research Computing Bill of Rights)
• Beyond baseline:
  • Internal projects: $100/hour
  • External projects: $165/hour
  • FTE-based consulting: ~$5,000/year per 5% FTE
