Configure SSH Connection
How you connect to Unity will depend on your operating system. Unity has detailed SSH configuration instructions located here: https://docs.unityhpc.org/documentation/connecting/ssh/ . If you find that you require any additional assistance, please contact research.computing@dartmouth.edu .
Accessing a specific login node (there are 4)
At times, you may want to login to a specific node, for example if you left a screen session running. Once logged in, simply SSH to the login node you want, e.g.: ssh login1, ssh login2, etc.
Storage
As a free user, you will have 100GB of storage space in your home directory; you are not entitled to storage space in the general Dartmouth PI /work directory. If you temporarily need more than 100GB of space, you may stage your work in /scratch and copy it back to Dartmouth storage when the job is over. If you need more permanent storage, please contact
research.computing@dartmouth.edu
to discuss becoming a paid user, which will gain you access to your own 1TB /work directory and, potentially /project storage space. An overview of Unity storage types is located here:
